The Clap:

Beltone Holding subsidiary Cash for Microfinance has signed a cooperation protocol with Italian consultant Microfinanza Italia to launch a EUR 2.2 million (EGP 111.4 million) project aimed at boosting support for Egyptian small and medium enterprises.

 

The details:

The project aims to expand access to financial resources and technical know-how for Egyptian entrepreneurs.  

The Italian firm is making solo moves to help Egyptian SMEs:

Microfinanza says it is separately also working to link scientific research with industries to enable a competitive knowledge economy and improve the business climate, it notes.
