El Moselhy said that raising subsidized commodity prices forces the government to take another look at its budget for subsidies in order to continue offering this kind of support.

He added that increasing prices for subsidized commodities lowers the chances that they are traded in a parallel/black market.
Now What
The Ministry of Supply is also exploring the possibility of importing wheat from China & India & paying for it in the exporting countries’ respective currencies.
